Direct Primary Care (DPC) – Frequently Asked Questions

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based healthcare model that focuses on personalized, relationship-driven primary care without insurance involvement. Instead of billing insurance, patients pay a simple monthly membership fee that covers most routine primary care services.

This allows for longer visits, easier access to your provider, and more comprehensive care—without rushed appointments or surprise bills.

Do you accept insurance?

No. LunaLuxe Direct Primary Care does not accept or bill insurance.

However, many patients choose to pair DPC with:

  • A high-deductible insurance plan

  • A health sharing plan

  • Or insurance used only for emergencies, hospitalizations, imaging, or specialists

This often results in lower overall healthcare costs and a much better care experience.

Is the membership fee per visit or per month?

The DPC fee is a monthly membership, not per visit.

Your membership covers ongoing access and care—whether you come in once or multiple times during the month.

You may choose to pay:

  • Monthly

  • Quarterly

  • Bi-annually

  • Annually

(Founding Members lock in their rate.)

What does my DPC membership include?

Your membership includes most routine primary care needs, such as:

  • Comprehensive annual exams

  • Sick visits & acute care

  • Chronic disease management

  • Preventive care & wellness planning

  • Medication management

  • Basic in-office procedures

  • Coordination of care and referrals

  • Direct communication with your provider (text/email/portal, during business hours)

No copays. No surprise bills. No rushed visits.

Are labs and medications included?

Some services are included, while others are offered at deeply discounted cash rates.

  • Labs are often available at wholesale or near-cost pricing

  • Medications may be provided at reduced cash prices or through discount programs

  • Imaging and specialty referrals are coordinated with cost transparency

You’ll always know the cost before moving forward.

Is this concierge medicine?

DPC is similar but more accessible.

Unlike traditional concierge medicine:

  • DPC is significantly more affordable

  • There are no large upfront fees

  • The focus is on primary care for everyday health, not exclusivity

Can I still see specialists or go to the hospital?

Yes. DPC does not replace emergency care or specialists.

If you need:

  • Imaging (CT, MRI, X-ray)

  • Specialist care

  • Hospitalization or emergency services

We will help coordinate your care and guide you to cost-effective options.

Who is DPC best for?

DPC is ideal for:

  • Busy professionals who want easier access to care

  • Patients frustrated with rushed appointments

  • Individuals managing chronic conditions

  • Families wanting consistent, relationship-based care

  • Patients without insurance or with high deductibles

  • Those who value preventive, holistic, and proactive medicine

What if I rarely go to the doctor?

Many patients join DPC to stay healthy, not just when they’re sick.

Your membership supports:

  • Prevention and early detection

  • Lifestyle and wellness guidance

  • Easy access when something does come up

Most patients find the value is in peace of mind and access, not just visits.

Is this the same as LunaLuxe Aesthetics services?

No — but they can complement each other.

  • DPC focuses on your overall health, wellness, and primary care needs

  • Aesthetic services (Botox, fillers, microneedling, etc.) are separate and not included in the DPC membership

DPC members may receive exclusive perks or preferred pricing, when applicable.
